Our publishing standard

Official firstClosures, trails, roads, transit, parking and regulations link to the responsible authority.
Dates matterChangeable information should include a verification date or a direct current-source link.
No guessed transitStops, routes and schedules are not presented as verified when they are not.
Corrections welcomedBusinesses, residents and visitors can report changed details with evidence.
Commercial clarityAdvertising, sponsorship and affiliate relationships are disclosed.
Permission-respecting imagesBusiness-supplied, licensed or Jasper Journeys-created imagery is preferred.

How information is handled

  1. Locate the responsible source. Parks Canada, the Municipality of Jasper, Alberta 511, the business itself or another appropriate first-party source.
  2. Separate stable from changeable facts. A landmark’s general location is different from today’s opening status or bus schedule.
  3. Show uncertainty honestly. Approximate planning areas are not described as surveyed points.
  4. Make the next action obvious. Visitors receive a phone, booking, directions or official-information path when available.
  5. Correct rather than conceal. Material errors should be updated and, when useful, documented.

For local businesses

A paid placement does not purchase a false review, guaranteed ranking or invented claim. Businesses can improve their presence by providing complete, accurate and visitor-useful information, including accessibility, seasonal changes, parking, reservations and approved images.
